Alexandra Hospital in Cheadle has a vacancy for a Healthcare Assistant to join their team of staff.
This role is offered on a full time, temporary basis for a period of up to 10 months.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
Educated to GCSE level or equivalent (desirable).
NVQ Level II
Communication skills
Customer focused
Health care experience, ideally within an acute surgical background (desirable)
Duties of this role include:
· To provide a high standard of individualized basic care to patients under the direction and supervision of the registered practitioner.
· To ensure the suite operational policies are maintained and complied with.
· To ensure that all corporate policies, local standard operation procedures, work instructions and Health & Safety policies and procedures are read, understood and complied with.
· To assist in other departments as required.
· To exercise economy in the use of dressings and equipment providing a safe and cost effective service.
· To participate in the programme of continuing education providing and training for all suite staff as required.
