Clementine Churchill Hospital in has a vacancy for a to join their team of staff within the Department.
Working on an “as and when required” basis, you will be required to supplement staffing levels during busy periods and provide cover for existing staff in times of annual leave or absence.

It is essential that applicants have the following:
· BSc Audiology degree is preferred for this post.
· BAAT, BTEC/HTEC, HNC, HND certificates or equivalent will be considered depending on experience.
· RCCP and/or HCPC registration is essential.
· Able to recognise contra-indications and abnormalities during tests, and identify the actions to be taken.
· Able to produce relevant and accurate results / reports
· Strong communicator.
· Medium/High level IT skills (MS Office, NOAH, PMS, Otosuite).
· Knowledge of latest development in Audiology.
Duties of this role include:
· To provide a comprehensive diagnostic Audiological support to the Ear, Nose and Throat Consultants by performing a range of routine and advanced audiometric procedures on adults and children (>3 years).
· To act as a point of call for any related clinical enquires from consultants, hospital colleagues and patients; to maintain department’s reputation and achieve the most positive consultant and patient feedback at all times.
· To perform the department’s range of Audiological investigations to a standard consistent with that set by the department, best practice guidelines, and the national governing bodies (BSA, BAA). Tests include, but are not limited to: Pure Tone Audiometry (including Play Audiometry), Tympanometry, Acoustic Reflexes, and Tinnitus Match etc.
· To be technically proficient, including performing first-line equipment checks and maintenance.
· To understand and conform to the department and hospital Health and Safety policies. To participate in annual appraisal and training.
· To provide a caring and understanding approach to patients and to be aware of their needs and limitations.
