We have an opportunity for a Registered Nurse to join their team of staff in the Pre-Assessment department.
This is a PART time role for 35 hours a week. The role holder will be required to cover a flexible shift pattern.
Applicants should meet the following criteria:
·         Registered practitioner with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC)
·         Proven experience within a medical, surgical, or outpatient environment (or similar) in the UK as a qualified practitioner
·         ENB 998 (or equivalent)
·         Postgraduate training and qualifications as appropriate to the role
·         Immediate Life Support (ILS)
·         Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
·         Professional attitude and caring disposition
Duties of this role include:
·         To work in the Pre- Admission/Pre- Assessment nursing services.
·         To provide an efficient and effective service for patients, consultants and staff.
·         To accept delegated responsibilities from the department manager.
·         To ensure capture of all sources of revenue generated within the department.
·         To work with the Pre-Assessment and Outpatient team, in the assessment, planning, delivery and evaluation of nursing care as the point of contact for the patient and ensuring adequate processes are in place at every stage in the patient journey to provide the highest level of care.
·         To formulate and deliver a collaborative program of patient care which is clinically effective, evidence based and appropriate.
·         To work as part of the team in the pre-admission and outpatients services ensuring robust procedures and processes are in place to streamline the patient pathway and ensure their experience is of a high quality.
·         To deliver and ensure delivery by others, high quality patient-focused care through assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care.
·         To participate in integrated governance and risk assessment and it’s reporting as required.
·         To assist with the review, development, updating and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols within Pre Admission and Outpatient Departments.
·         To input into the development of the service / practices.
